Woohooo! The Ski Pro Bing Bang Rail Jam 2012 is almost here! This Saturday come to Ski Pro for a day of wakeboarding fun. The day takes off at noon with a HUGE nine hour Outdoor Sale and a Cable Pull for beginning riders. There will be engaging activities for the kids and a delicious Budweiser Beer Garden full of refreshing adult beverages for anyone over the age of 21. At 5pm the Bing Bang Rail Jam will take off with the Sesitec System 2.0! Arizona’s Premier Wakeboard Competition will last until 9pm with cash, prizes and good ol’ fashioned fun.

The 2012 WWA Wake Park World Series (WPWS) kicks off on Thursday, May 3rd.  Over the course of five months and six stops, the WPWS will showcase the best athletes in the wakeboarding world. The stops are located anywhere from Texas to France to Abu Dhabi, where dozens of competitors, from over 20 countries, will all show up to compete for more than $125,000 in prizes.

Shannon Staling, the President of the WWA, recently stated that “the Wake Park World Series has truly become a world renowned wakeboard series; offering compelling competition and a fun environment for the riders and spectators.” Staling also touched upon the cable aspect and the atmosphere it provides, “the greatest aspect of cable wakeboarding is how close the spectators are able to get to the riders. Burton drops in on Coachella!  At some point in the season when you kick up the apres at the end of the day, you might as well keep the party going until November. For many, music and partying don’t have a season and work well in winter or summer. Gabi Viteri, Hannah Teter, Danny Davis, Jack Mitrani and Burton recently invaded Coachella to partake in the festivities.

Capping off the experience with a backyard BBQ themed pool party thrown at the Ace Hotel. Guests were able to lounge or pass out by the pool, play some backyard lawn games, and crack a few or more cold ones in an oasis refuge from the madness of Coachella before returning to the festival.
