Ski Mountaineer Chris Davenport won two World Championships, an ESPN Winter X medal, many Powder Magazine Reader’s Poll awards, the 24 Hours of Aspen, and was a fixture on the podium of the Freeride World Tour.
He boasts a summit of Mt Everest, skiing the Messner Couloir on Denali, the East Face of the Matterhorn, the West Face of the Eiger, the SE ridge of Baruntse, Everest’s Lhotse Face, and all 54 Colorado 14,000′ peaks.
For Chris Davenport, Spyder is his antidote to uncertainty. According to Chris, “Everything has to be calculated. You’re playing with life and death. It’ll take as much time as needed to decide what the risk factors are, what the objective danger is on the line that I want to ski, and plan accordingly. When I’m out there, I’m experiencing total clarity. I’m incredibly focused, more so-than in other aspects of my everyday life. That’s what keeps me coming back-that desire to go deep into my mind and find that amazing place and that focus.”
